Welcome to UCU at UEA
The University and College Union (UCU) is a professional association and the recognised trade union for all academic and academic-related staff at UEA. With 120,000 members nationally, UCU is the voice of UK professionals in Further and Higher Education.
What does UCU@UEA do?
We negotiate with the employers on behalf of UCU members, for example on conditions of service. We provide advice and support for fellow members. We keep members informed and channel local opinion into the national union on major concerns such as staff pensions.
Who can join UCU?
All staff on ATR, ATS, Tutor, AT, R&A and ALC contracts are entitled to join UCU . UCU represents full-time, part-time and hourly-paid; permanent and fixed-term staff. Postgraduate research students are also eligible to join.
